Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster, was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of Monsters. It is about an island called Monster Island. A monster might be discovered there, and who could then become the Monster Island.


It is an asylum film with a budget similar to a large kid's meal. The Asylum uses it well, focusing on just a few characters and keeping the big stars together in one set, where they can record all sequences during lunch. But let's not forget that this (Monster Island (2019) Decker Shado) film is a kaiju movie and, well, that's kind of how they work. So maybe The Asylum won’t do so terrible with it.
